Unlike many other wheel cleaners, World-Class Wheels is a non-acidic product, is safe to use on all wheel finishes, and is safe for you to use too.
How does World-Class Wheels work?
The pH of World-Class Wheels is neutral, and instead of using aggressive acids and caustics that could be harmful to the user and the environment, we use a blend of surfactants.
Surfactant – a substance which tends to reduce the surface tension of a liquid in which it is dissolved, between two liquids, a gas and a liquid, or between a liquid and a solid.
The word surfactant is derived from a blend of surface and active agent.
Therefore, World-Class Wheels works by releasing the grime from the wheel surface using this interaction, rather than using acidic compounds to loosen and remove dirt.
Why does World-Class Wheels change colour?
The other stand out feature of World-Class Wheels is the formula changing colour when it comes into contact with dirt. After spraying onto your wheels, you can watch as it runs down the wheels, turning a bright purple colour as the active ingredients in the product react with the grime that is commonly found on wheels. Car wheels will quickly build up deposits of dirt and grime, this is due to the wheels being the main point of contact between the car and the road as well as essential, every day braking resulting in the build- up of brake dust particles. The resulting hard to shift grime is a mixture of:
- Iron/metal particles from brakes and exhaust emissions
- Grease etc
The iron and metal particles mainly as a result from braking are the ones in particular that World-Class Wheels reacts with, resulting in the striking visible colour change. This feature ensures a thorough, professional clean. Even when sprayed on seemingly clean wheels, it is able to highlight any spots that are missed, helping you target tough spots, whilst the formula is already lifting the dirt away from the surface.
